Job Description
Health and Safety Assistant
Main purpose of the job: Promote and engender a Safety First culture within the facility, conducting regular safety checks on work areas and equipment. Meet all key performance metrics for Safety function.
Main missions and results
- Stay abreast of current occupational legislation and requirements to maintain workplace compliance.
- Meet all key performance indicators and metrics for safety.
- Managing the Day-to-Day control of Potential Incidents, driving the culture by measuring our progress against 1 PI per Month per Employee as a Minimum.
- Manage current Risk profile, ensuring that each Risk Assessment is reviewed on an annual basis or following an Accident/change.
- Manage Plant Chemical register ensuring we have a CoSHH assessment for each chemical and how it is used. Also to ensure that up to date MSDS are available for all products on the chemical register.
