Head of Department - Chinese Studies

• Provide academic leadership and direction to the Department of Chinese Studies.
• Provide support to the faculty members to achieve the aims and learning outcomes for the department.
• Ensure the programme(s) adheres to the University's teaching and learning strategy and associated policies, practices and processes are implemented.
• Ensure the programme(s) comply with auditing, quality assurance and risk management procedures both internal and external.
• Act as point of contact and ensure effective liaison with other departments for all matters relating to the delivery of the programme(s).
• Support for continuing professional development of staff.
• Maintain relationships with external bodies, alumni and industry as appropriate.

Requirements / Qualifications
