Job Description
Enhance food safety practices as a HACCP Specialist with Maple Leaf Foods. Ensure compliance with HACCP programs while performing audits and supporting plant staff in a dynamic environment.
As part of the FSQA team, you will be responsible for food safety and quality assurance. With a degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science, your expertise is vital in maintaining high standards. Your role includes daily audits and collaboration to uphold GMP protocols across the food manufacturing unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily food safety audits and record reviews
• Assist in training staff on FSQA practices
• Manage product holds and disposition alongside quality audits
• Support compliance verification with CFIA as necessary
• Conduct sampling and sensory evaluations for quality assurance
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science
• Robust communication skills in English
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SOPs
