Green Area Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

The supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing green area maintenance in their designated area, the Old Espoo region. The base is located in Teirinsyrjä, Mikkeli, and the maintenance unit works alongside a park maintenance manager with a permanent staff of about 16 employees; seasonal workers join during the summer when approximately 100 people are employed for green area maintenance, including about ten office and supervisory staff. The supervisor will act as the immediate supervisor of the unit.

Responsibilities

• Organize maintenance work for green areas.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal city departments and national stakeholders, as well as with educational institutions in the field.
• Manage, recruit, and ensure the well‑being of the unit's staff.
• Act as an expert in maintenance and the green industry, including construction planning projects.
