Summary You will be serving as a Government Information Specialist for the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) Program and demonstrate expert knowledge of the FOIA and PA when processing and responding to FOIA requests for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS). Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Provides input and recommendations to FOIA leadership on the interpretation and application of FOIA and Privacy Act policies, laws, and regulations. Reviews APHIS records and determines what information can be released or must be withheld under FOIA and the Privacy Act, applying established exemptions and agency guidance.
