Become a part of GFL as a Chemical Technician for the afternoon shift in Hamilton, ON. Your main focus will be on sorting and handling hazardous chemical waste safely and effectively.
In this position, you will support operational efficiency by classifying, testing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor. Your role will involve working with both inorganic and organic materials, ensuring all processes adhere to rigorous safety standards. The position demands compliance with health policies and proactive workplace safety measures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Test and classify chemicals from hazardous waste collection
• Bulk prepare materials for subsequent shipment
• Sort pesticides and other chemicals accurately
• Conduct inventory counts while preparing containers
