Job Description

The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated General/Cardiac Academic Anesthesiologist. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the department’s academic, research, and teaching missions
Position Highlights
Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery, VADs, and heart and lung transplantation.

Deliver perioperative anesthesia services for the increasing number of adults with congenital heart defects.

Perform and interpret perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).

Participate in the care of patients requiring advanced cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
