The Real Estate and Land Development branch optimizes the City’s portfolio by managing its land, buildings, and facilities to support Council’s vision. Within this, the Land Development section acts as a developer, transforming surplus City land into high‑value assets through end‑to‑end activities—from due diligence to construction. We manage a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments, alongside transformational redevelopments like the Exhibition Lands, River Crossing and Blatchford.

Aligned with The City Plan, and the Land Development Policy C511A, we are a self‑funded team that balances fiscal responsibility with positive social impact.
