Summary This located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Maintenance Division. The primary purpose of the position is to perform a wide variety and range of gardening work using independent judgement within the framework of good gardening practices. Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment. Responsibilities The major duties of the Gardener (Tractor Operator) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the landscape maintenance. Adjust and make necessary repairs on computer-controlled Irrigation Systems. Perform minor repairs on park furnishings benches, picnic tables, grills. Service and maintain trails and roads in safe conditions. Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, trash collect, graffiti abatement.
