Job Description
We are looking for a claims handler who will be responsible for a broad portfolio of P&I claims for P&I Members based mainly in the Mediterranean market. As a Claims Executive you will make decisions regarding P&I cover and compensation, and help Members mitigate, negotiate, and settle third party (cargo) claims.
The role has a high degree of autonomy and requires strong relationship and collaboration abilities toward P&I Members and colleagues.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
Development of P&I claims handling capacity and capabilities toward relevant Members with a strong focus on service and Member satisfaction.
Professional and efficient handling of P&I claims in accordance with Gard’s claims handling instructions and QMS.
Provide advice to Members on P&I cover, claims handling and loss prevention.
Prepare reports and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
