Alternative Provision | EOTAS | English & Maths | 1:1 Tuition | Flexible Working | September 2026
Quantum Scholars is expanding its team of Functional Skills Tutors across Somerset in preparation for an increase in EOTAS (Education Otherwise Than at School) and Alternative Provision referrals from September 2026.
We are looking for experienced, patient, and engaging tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths to young people who are unable to access mainstream education.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve meaningful educational progress through tailored support.
About the Role
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will work with primary and secondary-aged pupils (5-16 years) referred through Somerset Council's Alternative Provision arrangements.
