Job Description
Support MPP Wayne Gates as a full-time Constituency Assistant in Niagara Falls. Engage with constituents, organize events, and enhance social media presence in this pivotal role.
As the Constituency Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the Member with casework and outreach initiatives. Key skills include event planning, media monitoring, and effective communication. You will prepare research material, respond to constituent inquiries, and liaise with community organizations to promote awareness within the riding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize events and meetings to engage constituents
• Respond to constituent queries via phone and email
• Prepare research materials for effective communication
• Monitor local media for MPP's visual identity
• Manage social media to enhance outreach
Requirements:
• Knowledge of NDP and Canadian government
• Strong writing skills for reports and articles
• Ability to advocate effectively for constituents
