Forensic Technician - Extra Help

Description

The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill two (2) extra help or retired annuitant, part-time position in the class of Forensic Technician at the Sheriff's Office.

Extra Help: temporary employees who provide coverage for periods of limited duration and are paid on an hourly basis. This assignment is limited to 1000 working hours per year.Retired Annuitant: a retired government employee who is a member of CalPERS. After satisfying the 180 day waiting period, they are eligible to work up to 960 hours per fiscal year.
THE POSITIONUnder general supervision, assists forensic pathologists with autopsy examinations; collects, prepares and processes medical-legal evidence and performs other related duties related to forensic services. Incumbents in this class perform a variety of duties related to the Coroner’s section of the Sheriff’s Office.
