As our Fire Engineer, you will provide specialist fire engineering advice across Council’s building control and regulatory functions, including its role as a Building Consent Authority. Tasks will include:
- Reviewing fire engineering matters associated with building consent applications, supporting staff with technical advice, and working with applicants, consultants and other professionals to resolve complex issues.
- Ensuring that fire safety designs and technical matters are assessed in a clear, consistent, and practical way, while also contributing to technical quality, mentoring, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement across fire engineering review work.
- Covering a broad range of projects and technical matters, including new and existing buildings, commercial and complex developments, fire engineering reports, alternative solutions, Fire Engineering Briefs, inspections and compliance matters. <...
