Job Description
The Lapland Rescue Department's operational area consists of the northernmost, largest, and most sparsely populated region of Finland. Extending from the sea to the fells and from cities to wilderness, Lapland covers nearly one-third of Finland, most of which is north of the Arctic Circle.
We are recruiting a Fire Chief for the eastern rescue area, Kemijärvi Rescue Station Group, of the Lapland Rescue Department. The Fire Chief position is a non-commissioned officer role. The Kemijärvi Rescue Station Group includes the city of Kemijärvi and the municipalities of Salla and Pelkosenniemi.
The current shift staffing at Kemijärvi Rescue Station is 2 personnel. The goal of the Lapland Rescue Department is to increase the shift staffing of station groups to 1+3 personnel.
