The Lapland Rescue Department's operational area consists of the northernmost, largest, and most sparsely populated region of Finland. Extending from the sea to the fells and from cities to wilderness, Lapland covers nearly one-third of Finland, most of which is north of the Arctic Circle.

Job Overview

We are recruiting a fire chief for the eastern rescue area of the Lapland Rescue Department, Kemijärvi Fire Station Group. The fire chief position is a non‑commissioned officer role. The Kemijärvi Fire Station Group includes the city of Kemijärvi and the municipalities of Salla and Pelkosenniemi.

The current work shifts at Kemijärvi Fire Station consist of 2 personnel per shift. The goal of the Lapland Rescue Department is to increase the staffing of station groups to 1+3 personnel.
