Financial Controller

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, purchase order authorisation, bank reconciliations, and payment cycles
• Develop and implement financial SOPs, internal controls, and governance frameworks from the ground up
• Manage system implementation and optimisation across the ERP and reporting platforms
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for local and international stakeholders
• Oversee revenue recognition, rebate calculations, and retailer-specific accounting
• Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including company tax calculations
• Lead contract reviews and negotiations, supporting the business through tender processes and flagging legal risk areas
• Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team - assessing capabilities, chairing weekly meetings, and setting team objectives
