Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, purchase order authorisation, bank reconciliations, and payment cycles
- Develop and implement financial SOPs, internal controls, and governance frameworks from the ground up
- Manage system implementation and optimisation across the ERP and reporting platforms
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for local and international stakeholders
- Oversee revenue recognition, rebate calculations, and retailer-specific accounting
- Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including company tax calculations
- Lead contract reviews and negotiations, supporting the business through tender processes and flagging legal risk areas
- Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team - assessing capabilities, chairing weekly meetings, and setting team objectives
