Field-Based Research Assistant — Endangered Dotterel

Department of Conservation (DOC) is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct field research on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel on Rakiura Stewart Island during the forthcoming breeding season.

Based in a remote field setting, you will work on a 10‑days on/4‑days off roster, travel by ferry from Invercargill to Rakiura during rostered shifts, and contribute to data collection and nest monitoring with strong backcountry skills.
