Family Advocate Support Worker

Couchiching First Nation requires a Family Advocate Support Worker located in Couchiching First Nation. The position is responsible for providing a wide range of child and family support. The Family Support worker provides one-to-one support and assistance to families and children who are involved with or at risk of being involved with child and family services. Additionally, the Family Advocate Support Worker will assist the family in carrying out case plans, identified by working with the family to develop appropriate action plans.

Qualifications

• Youth Care Worker, post‑secondary degree, diploma and/or certificate in a related field of study
• Minimum of two years’ experience in child and family services providing mandated/voluntary services
• Other combinations of education and other social services related experience
• Knowledge of the Child & Family Services legislation would be an asset, but willing to ...
