Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management this position is responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the physical plant, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, steam generation/sterilization, plumbing and mechanical systems, general building maintenance, and grounds keeping.
Essential Job Functions
- Operates and maintains the physical plant to ensure proper functioning of mechanical systems and safety of the environment of care
- Performs daily rounds of hospital facility and rounds on off campus sites weekly. (see attached daily rounds list)
- Utilizes BAS and other monitoring systems to ensure proper functioning of plant systems
- Proactively initiates repairs, maintenance, and cleaning and generates work orders accordingly
