Explore NHS Careers: 5-Day Supervised Work Experience

While working in accordance with NHS England’s Widening Participation and Talent for Care strategies, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is delighted to support individuals with the potential to flourish in the NHS by offering insights into various careers.

We have a well-established work experience programme primarily aimed at students in school years 11-13; however, you are welcome to get in touch if you are considering a career change later in life.

All clinical placements are purely observational (no hands-on tasks) and are fully supervised.

Placements run for 5 days, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). No weekend exposure is permitted.

Students must be at least 16 years old to participate, and certain departments may have additional age restrictions.

The majority of placements are for those planning to apply to medical school, but opportunities are available for everyone, as there are hundreds of roles within the NHS. <...
