EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the WHE Compliance Division, Transportation Product Line, Public Works Department NAVSTA Norfolk, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. The organizational title of this position is Senior Equipment Specialist (Cranes). Responsibilities You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME)/consultant for all types of Weight Handling Equipment (WHE). You will provide expert technical guidance in the development of plans for the overhaul, repair, and modernization of WHE. You will serve as the SME in the configuration control management for an assigned class of cranes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including NAVCRANECENINST 11450.2, NAVFAC P-307, and NAVSEA Crane Quality Manual.
