Equipment Operator II - Grader Operator (Casual Positions)

Mackenzie County is currently inviting applications for Casual Equipment Operators. The primary locations for these positions will be in Fort Vermilion and La Crete, however the individuals may be required to work in other areas of the municipality as per operational requirements. These are unionized positions and the hours of work are on an as needed basis.

Reporting to the Public Works Supervisor (Fort Vermilion & La Crete), the successful applicants will be responsible for:

• Operate heavy equipment (grader) in a safe and appropriate manner and maintain proper awareness of one’s surroundings while operating grader on public roadways.
• Maneuver equipment with attached blades in successive movements across work areas in order to move rocks, vegetation or topsoil and to spread and level terrain. ...
