Job Description
Position Summary
This position plays a critical role in hospital safety and cleans the facilities to hospital standards. Assists in the prevention of communicable disease with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital, maintains loading docks and apartments on-campus. In addition, the environmental service technician II works to clean, wax, extract, and maintain floors, carpeting, and stairwells.
Key Accountabilities
- Keeps hospital environment fully sanitary, secure and comfortable for patients and staff to prevent transmission of infection
- Maintains loading dock duties to include cardboard / trash compactors
- Setups and removes bins and soiled linens from basement chute rooms as well as needle boxes, cardboard boxes and chemo therapeutic waste to ensure a sanitary environment
