Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive nationwide environmental management program for the Bureau of Prisons. At a minimum, this program will include national oversight and development of the following program areas: executive order (EO) 13423, acquisition (formerly Buying Green), chemical management, cleanup, electronics stewardship, environmental management systems (EMS), energy, environmental compliance, high performance buildings, natural resources, national environmental policy act (NEPA), pollution prevention, sustainability, and transportation.
