Responsibilities Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive nationwide environmental management program for the Bureau of Prisons. At a minimum, this program will include national oversight and development of the following program areas: executive order (EO) 13423, acquisition (formerly Buying Green), chemical management, cleanup, electronics stewardship, environmental management systems (EMS), energy, environmental compliance, high performance buildings, natural resources, national environmental policy act (NEPA), pollution prevention, sustainability, and transportation.
