Permanent full-time teacher required to teach English – junior and senior NCEA Level 1-3

Preferred attributes

• Trained and qualified teacher, with current NZ Teacher Registration.
• Qualification and experience in English level 1-3.
• Experience in working with young people.
• Experience in NCEA qualifications.
• Experience in working with Maōri and Pasifika young people.
• Knowledge of and understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and enthuse young people to learn.
• Ability and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school outside the classroom.
• The ability to complete other tasks as included in the job description.
• Knowledge of the Tokoroa community and a belief in the potential of the young people at Tokoroa High School.
