Position Summary
Product engineer owns responsibility for specific products or a family of products. Effectively manages engineering activities for product/process projects. Usually considered the local expert for one or more products, providing technical support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing processes, quality, testing and corporate functions in a global environment.
Essential Functions
- Owns engineering responsibility for a product or family of products.
- Defines and develops DVPRs and DFMEAs.
- Manages engineering changes that include creation/revision of part numbers, 3‑D models, 2‑D drawings, BOMs and engineering documents within a PLM system.
