Emergency Department Social Worker – Care & Discharge

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern invites an experienced Community Social Worker to join the Emergency Department at Southland Hospital in Invercargill. This permanent full-time role focuses on patient flow, safeguarding, and coordinating wrap-around social supports to avoid unnecessary admissions and support timely discharges.

You will be registered with NZ Social Workers Registration Board with Practising Certificate and have at least five years in clinical settings.
