Summary The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Electrician. The Electrician will function in Engineering Service. Responsibilities The Electrician duties include, but are not limited to: Troubleshooting, loading and testing new electrical/electronic equipment. Repairing electronic/electrical segments of air conditioning and ventilating systems, communication systems, fire alarm systems, emergency power plants and motors and controls. Understanding various gauges, sizes and types of wire, conduit, couplings, fittings, relays, boxes, circuit breakers and other electrical devices. Arranging and installing wires to ensure safe operation of systems and equipment worked on. Understanding mathematics to include arithmetic and algebra. Using test instruments, recording devices, meters, ladders, scaffolds, lifting devices, rigging and all hand/power tools pertinent to the electrical trade safely.
