Electrical Technician

To provide the electrical troubleshooting, repair services and routine maintenance of the Port’s mobile equipment to ensure the maximum operation availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance, fault finding and monitoring of the Mobile Harbour Cranes, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts and other Port Equipment and carries out the tasks assigned by Supervisor.
• Follow standard engineering practices ensures maximum operational availability of Mobile Equipment by diagnostic work and repair methods.
• Carries out duties independently when called out and reports breakdowns and faults.
• Ensures that emergency work is followed up by reporting to supervision.
• Details of the job carried out to be written in the provided work orders, including the man hours
• Ensures that work is undertaken in a safe manner and that practices conform to safety regulations and procedures as defined by Ports.
