Echocardiographer / Echo Technician

Job Description

1. Perform Imaging Tests (EchoCardiograms) and Non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations which may include Exercise tolerance tests (Stress test), Holter monitoring, Event recorders, 24 hr Ambulatory BP Monitoring, Electrocardiograms at Technical level and Assisting in Performing Transesophageal echocardiography.
2. Obtains patient history, explains procedures to patient, addresses patients’ concerns, and follows established pre‑screening policy and procedure.
3. Determines appropriate methodology and techniques to use; arranges immobilization and/or support devices for proper patient positioning; selects appropriate imaging device.
4. Prepares patient for echocardiography procedures, positions patient as appropriate for prescribed procedure, and assists patients at completion of procedure.
5. Uses good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.
