Overview

Help shape the future of education in NewZealand. This permanent part‑time position is based in the Maungawhau | MountEden office of the Ministry of Education. The role is within the Learning Support team, focusing on EarlyIntervention for children with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality learning support aligned with the Ministry’s practice framework, HePikorua guiding principles, and the goals of TeWhāriki: EarlyChildhood Curriculum and TeWhārikiateKohangaReo.
  • Build and strengthen the capability of parents, teachers and whānau to support children’s learning.
  • Understand families’ needs and collaboratively plan, support and monitor implementation of intervention plans.
  • Support transition points in the child’s learning pathway, such as transition into early childhood education and to school as required.
  • Work as part of a trans‑disciplinary team where a child’s needs are complex....
