The Duty Manager is fully qualified under the GCAA and maintains his/her certification privileges to certify aircraft as fit for service. Deputizes for the Senior Manager Aircraft Maintenance (L&L) in his/her absence. Communicates directly with the MCC controller or MCC Duty Manager on matters pertaining to incoming defects to provide appropriate action items to the engineer concerned. Maintains close communication link with the on-site Field Support Engineers ensuring accurate feedback is provided on new and existing defects.
