Engage in vital drilling operations as a Floorhand with AKITA Canada. This hands-on role involves operating equipment, maintaining the drill floor, and assisting the Derrick Hand and Driller.
AKITA Canada is seeking a Floorhand to support its drilling rig operations. In this position, you will operate manual tongs, assist with mud mixing, and ensure a clean work environment. A valid H2S Alive certificate is essential as you’ll also focus on safety and heavy lifting during shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Derrick Hand and Driller during drilling trips
• Maintain cleanliness on the drill floor consistently
• Conduct equipment preventative maintenance and checks
• Mix mud and chemicals with Derrick Hand assistance
• Perform cleaning and painting tasks as directed
Requirements:
• Valid Driver's License required
• H2S Alive certification mandatory
