Doctoral Researcher in Railway Engineering (DSII)
Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences create a unique environment for multidisciplinary research and education. The Doctoral School of Industry Innovations (DSII) at Tampere University explores research questions directly relevant to industry and business. A Doctoral Researcher will complete a four‑year dissertation project under joint supervision by a university professor and a company representative.
The partner company is Vossloh Switch Systems, a global railway infrastructure company specialising in design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of switches and crossings for rail networks. This role focuses on the life cycle management of turnouts.
