Dispatcher, Protective Services

Summary

The dispatcher serves as the first point of contact for incoming calls for service. Following guidelines for various types of responses, the dispatcher determines the appropriate response, resolves issues as able, and dispatches patrol officers as required.

Primary Purpose

Key responsibilities include monitoring field units to support the safety and availability of officers in the field, generating incident reports, and responding to emergency requests.

Additionally, this position handles intrusion alarms, performs clerical duties, and implements lost and found procedures.

Nature of Work
