Job Description

Summary The Director, Land Forces Division is responsible for initiating, conducting, and supervising assessments of land force programs. The incumbent is responsible for generating and evaluating alternative force postures and programs and preparing issue papers on program alternatives for Deputy Secretary and Secretary of War decisions. Responsibilities The Director, Land Forces Division plans, directs, and oversees the analysis and evaluation of DoW systems and programs in her/his areas of responsibility, including such key considerations as force structure, force deployments, weapons systems capabilities, support systems and infrastructure, funding levels, manpower requirements, adequacy of the technology base, cost-effectiveness, changes in the threat environment, and national defense policy.
