Director Cyber and Technology Risk - Cloud, Architecture, Emerging Technologies (Toronto)

Job Overview

As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) Enterprise Resilience Risk team, the Director of Cyber & Technology Risk will provide cyber and IT risk management subject‑matter expertise and lead the second line of defense in overseeing AI, cloud, and emerging technology risks on a global basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent opinion on RBC’s technology risk posture and challenge first line defense operating teams.
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for cyber & technology risk.
• Contribute to enterprise policies and standards governing emerging technology risk.
• Lead a team to assess and challenge cloud, AI, and emerging technologies using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies, AI and generative AI, and strengthen control environment.
• Oversee blockchain, digital assets, wallet infrastructure, and blockchain‑connected systems.
