Reports To – Senior Mechanic/Divisional Head
Purpose of Position – To repair mechanical and electrical faults of diesel vehicles and machinery Requirements Minimum of 10 years’ experience in plant and fleet maintenance Red Seal Certificate Valid driver’s license Able to work out of town for short periods Able to work well in a team Must have own tools Earthmoving equipment experience – preferably CAT, Komatsu & JCB Minimum 5 years’ field service experience Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults of diesel vehicles and machinery Diagnose engine trouble and replace or repair defective parts Completing job cards and furnishing information of parts that should be ordered Assist in training learners Perform administrative functions Preventative maintenance Running repairs and inspections Stock control and housekeeping Supervision of assistants Key Behavioral Skills Honesty and integrity Good time management Communication and interpersonal skills...
