Dialysis Assistant Northland Park - 40 Hours/Week Day Shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Northwest Northland Park Home Dialysis is a unit attached to an outpatient dialysis facility. The facility oversees peritoneal and home dialysis patients. Census is 20 PD patients and 2 HHD patients.

Staffed with full-time Nephrologists.   In addition, we have 2 full-time Home Nurses and travel pool home dialysis technicians. The unit has multiple support staff members that are shared with the outpatient clinic including front desk team and tech leader staff (machine maintenance) that may assist with operational duties within the clinic.

We case manage 15 pts who are monitored by connected health for Baxter and NxStage systems. Patients are trained to perform dialysis treatments at home within the clinic. PD training takes 7-10 days and HHD training takes 4-6 weeks. The home team schedules monthly clinic visits for all home patients with the interdisciplinary team and lab draws for PD patients.
