Database Administrator

The position is primarily responsible for managing the performance tuning and optimization of databases in all platforms. The position is also responsible for the configuration of storage used by servers within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and maintains enterprise databases and the corresponding infrastructure.
• Recommends database configuration, design, and backups. Optimizes SQL Code, as necessary.
• Monitors the performance of database system and storage resources.
• Maintains database plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and statistics.
• Administers database security access. Implements database encryption and configuration.
• Responds to MSSQL database alerts. Creates and maintains Windows and SQL Server Clustering and database Mirroring/Replication.
