Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Customs Clerk to join our client, a Transportation company located in Mississauga, ON.
Pay: $21.00/hour
Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing PAPS documentation ensuring customs paperwork is accurate, processed, and cleared
- Identifying and resolving customs issues
- Transmitting documentation and monitoring release status - liaising with government departments when additional documents are needed
- Contacting customers to secure paperwork, communicate requirements, respond to inquiries, and resolve inconsistencies
- Inputting data into TMS and customs systems and maintaining accurate recordkeeping
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in a Customs, Brokerage, or Freight Forwarding role within the Transportation/Logistics industry (1-2 years)
- Familiar with PAPS, CBSA, and CBP release processes
- Strong customer service skills
