Cultural Health Navigator

Description

:The Cultural Health Navigator will support indigenous patients and their families to ensure that their cultural health is supported while within the inpatient environment at Essentia Health. This role will be a subject expert in Indigenous cultural health an serve as a point person for these issues within Essentia.

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

Providing cultural knowledge, resources, and support for cultural and spiritual well-being, and assisting patients as they navigate their health care experience in an inpatient setting

Facilitating connections between patients and the local Indigenous community

Collaborating with the care team to ensure that patients' spiritual and cultural needs are honored

Consulting with Essentia colleagues on culturally appropriate care and best practices
