Overview

Course Title: Education and the Environment (EDEC 374 – 731/741). Term: Summer 2026. Contract Dates: July 09 - August 06, 2026. Course Dates: July 16 - 23, 2026. Schedule: July 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 9:00 - noon and 1:30 - 4:30; July 23 9:00 - noon. Location: Chisasibi / Mistissini. Taxi fare, flight, accommodations and per diem covered by the Office for instructors who require it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the course in person according to the above schedule.
• Demonstrate the capacity and willingness to modify the course to the educational, social, and cultural context of the community where it is delivered.
• Participate in course coordination and planning activities at least two weeks in advance (online format).
• Engage with Indigenous issues in First Nations and Inuit contexts through teaching, community engagement, or relevant academic or professional work.
