Job Description
1.PURPOSE
- The Cost Accountant is responsible for cost control, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support manufacturing operations, month end closing and management decision-making. The role focuses on product costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and inventory control, ensuring accurate and timely cost information.
2.0 REPORTING
- The Cost Accountant reports to Senior Cost Accountant, Malaysia.
3.RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Analysis:
- Cost simulation of new or existing product costing.
- Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and investigate cost deviations.
- Analyze production costs and finished goods valuation.
- Support product costing, new product launches (NPI), and cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze material and machine efficiency and yield.
- Analyze PPV and production variance.
