Core Physiotherapist, Adult Inpatient Rehabilitation Ward & AT&R Outpatient Service

Overview

Full‑time, fixed‑term position until June 2027 within Health New Zealand | TeWhatuOra Counties Manukau. The role is a physiotherapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation, split between the adult inpatient rehabilitation ward (Ward23) and the AT&R outpatient service.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist inpatient rehabilitation for patients under and over 65years following stroke, neurological conditions, amputation, and general conditions as part of an inter‑professional team.
• Deliver outpatient rehabilitation for patients benefiting from a clinic‑based model, including vestibular and amputee rehabilitation and long‑term neurological conditions.
• Supervise and develop rotational staff, rehab assistants, and physiotherapy students.
• Participate in leadership, service development projects, staff education, and quality improvement work.
