Job Description

Good food plays an important part in daily life. As a Cook in our care home, you'll prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that help residents stay healthy, feel valued and enjoy mealtimes that are often the highlight of their day.
Working as part of a friendly team, you'll help create menus that reflect residents' preferences while ensuring meals meet a range of dietary and nutritional requirements.
Working pattern
This role is 4 days out of 7, with alternate weekend working required.
What you will do
Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for residents
Plan menus that meet dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Monitor food stocks and support ordering and stock control
Ensure meals are prepared and presented to a high standard
Support special events and celebrations through food preparation
