About the Role
As a key member of our Emergency Medicine team, you will play an essential role in providing comprehensive emergency care to patients across the Nelson Tasman region. You will participate in rostered shift work, including weekends and nights, as part of a well‑structured team. You will also contribute to the supervision and training of registrars, house officers, and medical students, and play a key role in the continued development of our service as we grow into our new expanded space.
About the Team, Service and Location
Nelson Hospital’s ED provides 24/7 emergency care to a diverse patient population. It currently operates under increasing demand – the department sees 100‑120 patients a day on its busiest days, equating broadly to more than 33000 presentations per annum.
