Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician - Fixed Term

Waikato Hospital, Hamilton — 12‑Months Fixed Term, Full Time Specialists with current APC in the Emergency Medicine Scope of Practice (or about to qualify).

Rostered shifts between 08:00 and 02:00 with occasional on‑call between 02:00 and 08:00.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Waikato Hospital. In this position you will play a key role in providing Emergency Medicine to about 90,000 people per year (220‑250 a day). Our ED is the primary Emergency Medicine service for about 300,000 people based in Hamilton and the surrounding district, secondary for the entire Waikato DHB region (500,000 people), and a tertiary centre for the Te Manawa Taki region (1million people).
