Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Construction Underwriter to manage renewal business, deliver excellent broker service, and support profitable growth for a leading City-based insurer. This is a respected underwriting team managing a diverse portfolio of construction risks and building strong broker relationships. You will need to bring previous construction underwriting experience, the ability to retain and renew business and some progression towards CII qualifications.

Key Responsibilities


  • Underwrite renewal business within authority levels

  • Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships.

  • Identify retention, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.

  • Work closely with technical teams and colleagues across the business.

  • Contribute to underwriting meetings and team projects.
